Shire Attire upcoming changes!
Have you ever heard the term Steampunk? Well, Diane and her daughter, Kari, were introduced to Steampunk during attendance at the PortCon here in Maine. (If you wish to contact us for something we discussed at the Con, email Diane at diane@shireattire.com.)
Simply put, Steampunk is what you get when you attempt to build today's technology with the technology of the Victorian or early Industrial era. Goggles, gears and lots of bronze dominate the props of the movement. But best of all are the Victorian and Edwardian clothes that are key to the participant's character.
Needless to say, we are currently working on some patterns for what will become our Steampunk Alley. Since we have been tossing around the idea of doing adult wear as well, we would gladly entertain ideas for all members of the family. Send your ideas to Diane for us to consider.
We have also started working on other adult items. As soon as the pictures are ready, we will post our new items. Remember that we are willing to look at any idea you may have and give you a quote, no matter how "different" you may think it to be. If we do not think we can execute it to your satisfaction, we will tell you so. But do not be afraid to send us request just because you can not buy your clothes off the rack. We love a challenge and the unusual.
We currently sell some of our items on eBay, and we are considering some other projects that people in New England may enjoy.
